The survival game for teachers. Just your typical teaching day.

Bell or Bust is a quick, very rude browser game about getting through one school day. You start in the car park at 7:52am with twenty fucks to give. Every decision costs some. A few give some back. Make the 3pm bell with at least one left and you survive. Run out first and Bev, Acting Deputy Principal (acting since 2014), processes your resignation.

How a round works

1. Eight stops, car park to the final bell. The car park, roll call (and the parents), Period 2, first break on duty, Period 3, lunch (allegedly), Period 5, and two minutes to the bell.
2. Three choices at each stop. You won’t see the cost until you’ve committed. Just like real life.
3. The gold coin means a gamble. Pick that choice and Bev flips the Department coin. Heads, you get away with it. Tails, it bites.
4. The day takes its cut. Each stop skims a few fucks off the top just for turning up, and things land on you between stops that you didn’t choose.
5. Rage-quit is an option. Storm out, slam the staffroom door, and Bev files it. With commentary.
6. Share your scars. Everyone gets the same Daily Day, so you can compare how you went with your staffroom group chat.

There are 93 scenarios in Vol. 1, so practice days keep turning up new disasters.

Who it’s for

Teachers, relief teachers, retired teachers, and anyone who has done playground duty in the rain. If you’ve ever been told a meeting “won’t take long”, it’s for you. It’s written for adults and the language is strong.

Do I need to download an app?

No. It runs in your phone or computer’s web browser. To keep it handy, save it to your home screen.

What happens after I pay?

You get an unlock code on screen straight away, and Bev emails you a copy. Type the code into the game on your other devices to unlock them too.
